Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)

The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) will work with the other LVN’s and attendants to ensure the health and safety of all consumers. The focus of this position monitors the consumer’s use of medication, monitoring health and information, and assisting with the health care aspects of consumers daily needs. The LVN will be evaluated on their Professional Behaviors during each evaluation period.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Must be currently licensed by the Texas State Board of Nursing. One year’s experience in home health. One year’s experience working with people with disabilities. Must have working knowledge of accepted home health nursing procedures for individuals with disabilities. Current CPR and First Aid certification is required. Must be familiar or willing to learn waiver program regulations. Must have a cohesive part of team-building skills in order to effectively work with others to provide quality services. Must exhibit good relationship building skills with consumers and their families. Nursing liability insurance preferred.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Current TX LVN license, TX driver’s license, liability insurance, dependable transportation, and recent TB test required.
